Pinchos of Pamplona
Welcome to Pinchos of Pamplona! Our wish is to give you a sense into the pinchos that are served through the city so you don’t have to worry about finding the next place that you can eat out today. This project emerged due to the cultural differences between the editors, all coming from different countries and different cultures. We wanted a space for us to experience Spain’s food (in this specific case, the pinchos), and to get a better access to a collective participation. Pinchos are such a big part of Pamplona’s gastronomy, and our main priority is to bring foreigners (and locals too) closer to the city. Through reviews of the best pinchos from the best pincho bars you will likely get the exact one for you! We hope you enjoy!

Latin Americans students in Spain that love eating pinchos

Editor and Instagram coordinator
Micaela Barriga
Hi, my name is Micaela Barriga and I come from Lima, Peru. It is, indeed, incredibly far from Spain, and incredibly far from my own culture. Food is a great part of my Latin American heritage and I tend to be somewhat of a foodie myself. Who doesn’t love to try new flavours, new colours, new recipes? Peru’s cuisine holds great prestige and to be able to be part of Spain’s is a complete adventure. I really hope you find our website useful in some kind of way and I hope you find your pincho tasting experience to be excellent.

I am an international student here at UNAV, originally from Chile, but living in the USA. This semester I had the opportunity to study in Pamplona, and I could not pass up the chance. When I arrived, I quickly learned about the pincho culture in Spain and fell in love with it. Delicious and cheap foods? What more could I ask for. I quickly became motivated to visit as many pincho bars as I could, and try all the pinchos possible. This new hobby landed me here, as a critic for Pamplona’s Pinchos. I hope our platform gives your taste buds the love they deserve! Oh, and don’t forget to try the “Robertico” at Bar Chez Evaristo: my favorite!

Marc Casas
My name is Marc Casas and I’m from Barcelona, Spain. I am currently an exchange student at the University of Pamplona where I am working on this project. I decided to join this project because I love Spanish cuisine, and I have been living abroad for 12 years. I thought this would be a good way to learn more about my culture and get to know some more food from around Spain.

I am a student from the Unav currently doing the degree in Audiovisual Communication with the program of Performing Arts Production. I am Spanish and Colombian, and I love to get to know differents cultures from their food. I joined this project because I want to explore the pincho culture that Pamplona has and to discover the best pinchos that this city hides.

¡Hola! I'm Tina, short for Valentina, and I am currently studying audiovisual communication in the University of Navarra. Back when I was a kid living in Mallorca, Spain, as a treat my mom would take me to the pincho bar next to school to eat a “tortilla de patata”. Once moving to Costa Rica, I lost touch of this part of Spanish culture. This project has given me the opportunity to taste and revisit my childhood memories once again.
